Scania will this year, once again, participate in Earth Hour on Saturday 29 March 20.30–21.30, by turning off all non-essential lights. Last year, more than 7,000 cities and towns in 154 countries observed the hour of darkness to manifest their support for climate change action.
Scania’s production units in Europe and Latin America will observe Earth Hour on 31 March by turning off most lights. Scania’s commitment to sustainability is not, of course, limited to one single hour of the year. Throughout Scania, projects are under way that will substantially reduce energy consumption.
